One of Izutsu's methods of semantics is the theory of simultaneous semantics, which examines the "relative" meaning of words in the context of verses. In Izutsu's Quranic thought, the meaning of "relative" provides a clearer picture of the meaning of the key word in the Quran's semantic system. The word "dispute" is one of the key words of the Quran. In this research, an attempt has been made to present a more precise concept of this word by using the descriptive-analytical method and relying on the seven axes of Izutsu's simultaneous semantics and examining the cognates of this word. These seven methods are: textual definition, finding synonyms (substitutes), finding antonyms, balancing the grammatical structure (synonyms) of sentences, forming semantic fields, negative form of words and usage in non-religious context. In the search for results from this research, it was concluded that the word "dispute" in the Quran is used both positively (dispute with goodness/dispute with truth) and negatively (dispute with unrighteousness/dispute with falsehood). Found; However, the use of this focal word is more in its negative sense. The relative meaning of "struggle with truth" in the Qur'an is a struggle that has characteristics such as: knowledge, guidance, benefit from the teachings of the holy books, wisdom, good preaching, etc. Also, in the relative concept of "false conflict", such components were observed: conflict is another face of disbelief, which despite the emergence of the truth, has arisen in conflict with it and intends to destroy it.
