Fairy fantasy is a type of fantasy story whose fictional characters are giants, demons, wizards, and fairies. These unreal creatures, which have been popular since ancient legends and myths to this day, have attracted the attention of children's writers in recent years, so that in addition to rewriting and adapting this type of story, works of this type have been created and composed. Since demons and giants in legends are terrifying creatures, writers of children's works in the "A" and "B" age groups change some of the story's emotions, such as humor, in order to modify their characters. This humor in children's works is different from humor in adult works and follows its own rules. The present study, which deals with the techniques of creating humor in children's fantasy stories in an interdisciplinary manner, considers such things as: "the stupidity of fantasy creatures, the heart of objects and words, deviation from the norm, contradiction, exaggeration, repetition of syllables, and naming based on attributes" to be the most important components of laughter in children's works. This qualitative-descriptive research was conducted on children's fantasy works using a library method and aimed to list the techniques of creating humor for the use of novice writers in this field.
