Narrative point of view, a key topic in narrative analysis, determines the perspective from which a story is presented. Uspensky and Fowler's model is one of the earliest and most systematic frameworks in this field; focusing on linguistic techniques, it examines the narrator's role across four dimensions: time, space, psychology, and ideology. The present study, relying on Uspensky and Fowler's "narrative theory," analyzes the linguistic and narrative structures of two Arabic and Persian novels: Baqaya Suwar by Hanna Mina and Gharatgar by Mahboubeh Zare. This theory effectively demonstrates the prominent and influential role of point of view in revealing hidden meanings, concepts, and the dominant ideology within the text. Based on structuralist and linguistic perspectives, these two theorists outlined a novel analytical framework resting on three levels—temporal-spatial, psychological, and ideological—which enables the examination of the relationship between language, style, and the author's worldview. It shows that narrative, while representing events, also reflects the intellectual and cultural systems of society. Using a descriptive-analytical method, this research has sought to present and analyze examples from each level of this theory to gauge its effectiveness in explaining the semantic and ideological layers of these two works. The findings indicate that a narrative analysis of these two works from the perspective of Uspensky and Fowler's narrative theory can assist readers in achieving a deeper understanding of their linguistic and stylistic structures, as well as in uncovering the relationships between language, mind, and the author's ideology.
